The short version: Elision Readr does not collect, store, or share any personal data. No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. Your reading is entirely private.
Who we are
Elision Readr is a speed-reading application available at elisionreadr.app and as an iOS app. It is operated by Elision.

Data we collect
We collect no personal data. Specifically:
Text you paste or import is processed entirely in your browser. It is never transmitted to our servers. We never see it.
URLs you fetch are passed through our server-side proxy to retrieve article content. We do not log these requests or store any fetched content.
App settings (theme, font size, WPM) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage or the app's local storage. They never leave your device.
We do not use cookies for tracking purposes. We do not run advertising networks. We do not build user profiles.
Feedback form
The optional feedback form in the app and on the website is powered by Formspree. If you choose to submit feedback, your message and any email address you provide are sent to us via Formspree and stored in our Formspree account. We use this information only to respond to your feedback. Formspree's own privacy policy applies to how they handle form submissions.
Submitting feedback is entirely voluntary. The app functions fully without it.
Third-party services
Google Fonts — we load Cormorant Garamond and DM Sans from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests per their own privacy policy.
Netlify — our web host. Netlify may collect standard server access logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal hosting operations. We do not access or use these logs.
Sentry — we use Sentry for error monitoring in the app. If the app encounters a technical error, a crash report may be sent to Sentry. These reports contain technical details about the error (stack traces, device OS version, app version) but do not include any text you have pasted or imported.
Children's privacy
Elision Readr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
